Association Monthly Update

By Casey Czarnowski

CCSA Region 1 Director

The California Central Service Association has been hunkering down during California’s shelter-in-place mandate, doing our best for the health of our community!  As working healthcare professionals, we have been doing our part to care for our patients, too.

Our May 16, 2020 Regional Seminar & Vendor Exhibit at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center has been postponed to September 12, 2020.  Our speakers are scheduled to be Ruben Perez from Intuitive Surgical, Cliff Russell from Steris Instrument Services, Harry Mullen of Central Sterilization Solutions sponsored by OneSource, and Bob Mars from Beyond Clean sponsored by Aesculap.  This Seminar has been a popular destination for the Professionals of Southern California for many years, and this one promises to be great!

Our Annual Convention and Vendor Exhibit in Las Vegas originally scheduled for July 2020 has been rescheduled to June 2021. Information on this Conference will be available soon.

Later in the year, we are optimistic about two great events.

San Diego will be the site of a One Day Seminar on October 31, 2020.  Come dressed as your favorite historical healthcare figure!

Also in October, we are thrilled to partner with the San Francisco Bay Area chapter of APIC for our first ever Collaboration Seminar, with CE credits available for members of both organizations!  This will be a hands-on event with enrichment activities for all.  The event will be held at the spacious Education wing at Washington Hospital in Fremont, California.  More details about specific featured events will follow.

Information and on-line registration for these events can be found at our website: www.CCSA1.com.

The CCSA invites all members of the profession to visit the Education tab on our website.  The Education tab provides curated resources for those seeking quality educational resources and continuing education credits for IAHCSMM and CBSPD.

And, please follow CCSA Social on Facebook and LinkedIn for great discussions, new ideas, information about our world-class events, and networking!

For further information about membership in the CCSA, we invite you to contact us at office@ccsa1.com or by phone at 657-286-8029.  We are 621 Professionals strong, and would love to have you join us!

Our mission is to provide Central Service Professionals with world-class educational offerings throughout California and beyond.
